This award is presented to an individual who accomplishes formative work on behalf of the association and the Residential Products Group.
“Dean is relatively new to AAMA,” stated Kim Flanary, President of the AAMA Residential Products Group. “His first national meeting was just four years ago, but in that short time he has certainly made his mark.”
Dean’s involvement with AAMA spans many committees and task groups across diverse topics including regional issues, code-related concerns, education, and green/sustainability specifications. “This is a great achievement for Dean,” said Rod Hershberger, PGT’s President and CEO. ”He currently serves on 29 committees and task groups and is the leading officer of five of those groups.”
Most notably, Dean is currently serving on the Code Action committee and is instrumental in developing code change proposals for the international codes as well as the Florida Building Codes. He also serves as Vice President of the AAMA Southeast Region.
