PGT® NAMES MARY KOTLER VICE PRESIDENT OF SUPPLY CHAIN

VENICE, Fla., December 12, 2006 – PGT Industries, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of custom windows and doors, has appointed Mary Kotler as the company’s Vice President of Supply Chain. Kotler brings over 20 years manufacturing experience with leading corporations such as Siemens, Rolls-Royce and Alcatel Canada, Inc.

Reporting to PGT Executive Vice President Herman Moore, Kotler will direct the entire Supply Chain process including Customer Service, Materials Management, Production Control and Transportation for PGT’s two manufacturing facilities in Venice, Fla., and Salisbury, N.C.

“Mary brings notable success in on-time delivery performance, logistics and customer satisfaction,” said Moore. “Her wealth of knowledge and experience with many world class manufacturing systems are welcome additions to our executive team as we set and achieve new goals.”

Prior to joining PGT, Kotler was most recently Director, Logistics Center of Excellence for Rolls-Royce Corporation, where just a few of her achievements included realizing a cost benefit of $12.2 million in less than one year and increasing supplier delivery performance to 96 percent. During her decade-plus tenure with Siemens Corporation, she received a series of promotions, culminating with her as Director, Lean Manufacturing Group for Siemens Diesel Systems Technology. Previous to that, as Director, Manufacturing for Alcatel Canada, Inc., her accomplishments included achieving a 95 percent on-time delivery performance -- the highest in the industry; reducing work-in-progress inventories by 90 percent; and significantly shortening production cycles. Kotler began her career with Northern Telecom, Inc.

Kotler is a Charter Member of the MIT Integrated Supply Chain Management Consortium. Other professional affiliations include membership in American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the Lean Enterprise Institute.

A native of Canada, she holds an MBA from University of Toronto and a BA from University of New Brunswick. Kotler most recently resided in the greater Indianapolis area with her husband, Moe. They have four children and five grandchildren.
